The present volume attempts to demonstrate the potential of the Institute of English Studies and the fact that in such a relatively short period of time it has managed to become one of the best English philology institutions in Poland. The book reflects the curent structure of the Institute, comprising six units: the Department of Linguistics, the Department of English Literatures, the Departmnent of Translator Studies, the Department of the History and Culture of English-Speaking Countries, the Department of English Language Education and the Department of Technology-Enhanced Language Education.
