This monograph explores the applications of fractal geometry by Mandelbrot to the description of the grain size distribution and morphology of the solid phase in suspensions and a method is proposed for computing the sedimentation efficiency of non-grain sediments in settling tanks, particularly in multiflux sedimentation systems.
